Apparently the Picture Editors’ Guild has launched a new contest to recognise the work of press photographers… with a category dedicated to citizen photojournalists wouldya believe!

Not exactly my sort of thing cos I’m not really into contests, competitions or that whole competitiveness scene, but I thought it was interesting nevertheless. Particularly the recognition being given to citizen journos.
