Can’t really be bothered

Once again a bit late in the month for my contribution to that monthly theme project. Not for my usual reason however, or for want of inspiration. In fact, I had a really good idea for a pic when the theme (“Nihilism”) was first announced. But didn’t follow through on it as it would have entailed spending a significant amount of dosh on some props. And, at the mo’, that’s a complete no-no.

So I thunk of something else instead. Equally as good (in my opinion anyway) and rich with symbolic interpretations. Though this month I can’t really be bothered to ramble on endlessly about them, not like I frequently do. Neither on the group blog or here. Just leave it up to the viewer to work them all out… if that’s the inclination.

And there’s the thing y’see… “can’t really be bothered”.

That’s why the pic’s a bit late this month. Strangely my heart just wasn’t in it this time around. Sort of had to whip meself into doing the shot I’d visualised… and that was only because mate had recently contributed his. And the theme was of his choosing this month. So, well, couldn’t let him down now, could I?

Must admit though, I did enjoy doing the pic… once I finally got around to it. And am pleased with the result…

Oh, and as an interesting little footnote, that’s the self-same lump hammer that mate insistently alleges I clouted him with. Now I ask you, would I do such a thing?

Yes, you would…did in fact. My arm hasn’t been the same since!

I’m with you here, almost didn’t bother meself but thought I should as it was my theme choice.
