Saturday morning… er… early Saturday morning, and its raining.
That light sort of rain that you don’t really think much about until you’ve been out in it for about a half-hour or so and suddenly realise you’re soaking wet. As all too often happens to me.
And from what I can gather it’d been raining pretty much like that all night long.
Which no doubt accounted for me finding an early morning visitor waiting on the doorstep. Cos rain really does seem to bring ’em out. Waiting there presumably for me to open the front door and say hello. Which I did. Naturally. Wouldn’t anyone?
Now I know that some folk don’t care overmuch for slugs. But as far as I’m concerned they’re just like rather large snails… but without the shell. And black (maybe they’re all Goths?). And kinda cute. And a bit slow. Like me.
Just as well I don’t mind them really cos I get loads in the garden. In fact, it can sometimes be a bit hazardous just walking along the garden path. For them that is. Not for me. Though I do try to avoid treading on ’em.

Lovely snap Mike. And a nice story about trying to avoid stomping upon them. I feel very much the same way about our little life form friends such as this.
All of which is rather coincidental as well because I’ll be soon uploading a pic with a similar story, which I hope you enjoy.
