Well, its that time again. Time for another contribution to that monthly theme project thingie.
In fact, almost past time.
Yep. Left it almost to the last moment before posting this time. Last moment for me that is, cos I’m in the good ol’ UK. Not for that lot over there though. Time difference means they’re lagging a bit behind us (not just in time either I’m tempted to say… but I won’t… cos that’d be nasty). Anyway, about five hours by my reckoning.
Of course, I could have worked on their time scale, and indeed thought seriously about it. But that just didn’t seem right somehow.
This “at the last minute” stunt was quite deliberate on my part though. Cos in fact I’d actually taken the pics ages ago.
But I’ve sort of adopted the habit, whenever the theme’s been of my choosing (which this one was) of holding back on posting until everyone else has had a bash at it.
No real rational reason why I should, ‘cept that in some strange way I have this notion that otherwise the rest of the gang may unwittingly be influenced by my interpretation of my own theme sorta thing, and that wouldn’t be right or fair.
Prob’ly a load of nonsense, but I’m weird that way.
Anyway, I did two pics for this month. Both of the same thing in fact, but two different “takes” on it.
And of the two I have to confess I have a favourite. It doesn’t quite represent what I was after, but near as makes no difference.
Oh… and the theme? “Elegance”!

I really like the perspective of this picture… very very very cool
Hey, thanks
I was really beginning to wonder if you were to bother posting to your own theme. But we Troglodytes in the States often wonder such weird and nonsensical things.
But I confess to liking your idea of waiting to post when it is one’s turn to select the theme. Of course I’d never be so condescending to assume the others would be influenced by my work.
I think I’ve tried to do that with the themes I’ve picked from practically the very first one.
Its not condescending to assume that… its basic common sense. We’re all of us, in one way or another, influenced by what we see… whether we’re aware of it or not.
Saying we’re influenced by what we see isn’t a comment on that which is seen, but on the way the mind tends to work.
What is condescending is me explaining this to you though!
I had to give you something to do, didn’t I?
Well gee, thanks. And I do so appreciate whatever chances I get to be condescending, patronising, and suchlike. After all, they occur so infrequently.
Wait, what? Troglodytes? hmm, I’m not a bird, not a caveman and certainly not a reptile-human creature from Dungeons and Dragons.
Yeah, I thought that was a bit strong too. But its ok… only some are trogs, and we definitely don’t think you’re one!
