The phrase that springs most readily to mind is “glutton for punishment”.
You’d think, wouldn’t you, that with the events of the past couple of days (faithfully reported in the previous two posts) my appetite for pics would be sated. For this week at least.
You’d think that, wouldn’t you?
But oh no, not me.
Not content with doing my bit to harvest a load of pics of two very worthwhile causes (well, I thought they were worthwhile), I then hook up with mate for an evening stroll through the town. And… guess what?
Yep. Out come the old cameras again. Old in the figurative sense that would be. Not old in the literal sense, unlike me. Who is old in the literal sense. Alas.
Not for some higher or mercenary purpose this time though. This was more like an act of self-indulgence. To which I’m particularly partial. Naturally.
A bit more fooling around with black and white in fact (“Will it ever end?” I ask myself). And interestingly we discovered a nifty little new technique. Though not gonna reveal what! Not yet at least. So there!

I love the way you have captured the light in these pictures. fantastic.
Thanks David. There’s something about these type of photographs that I really do like.
it is called, in most circles, ‘art’ thats what it is! So In guess your headed to the ranks of art photographers, and dont bother resisting, resistance, and denial are futile, and don’t forget, get over the phsychological holdup abotu photography and art and you could charge a fortune for your photos, just by putting them in a frame and selling them through an ‘art’ gallery.
Now its funny you should say that…
got to agree with David there you know. I’ve sold two of the ‘Autumn’ collection now
Arrgh no, don’t agree with him… you’ll just make him worse. He’s bad enough already.
But curiously…[ahem]
And good for you re the sale… I seem to recollect seeing something about that on your ‘stream. Next step an exhibition eh?
Sorry, didn’t mean to encourage him! I still don’t think my stuff is art, but people seem to like it and seem to want to pay money for it, so who am I to argue
I think I’ll just stick to walking for now and slowly jog my way up to an exhibition. The perfectionist in me doesn’t think I could cope with the stress and hassle yet.
Encourage him? I betcha he’s positively purring with delight even as I write!
Art nothing. I’ve a new word for it… Evopics!. The best of both worlds
I don’t know…I don’t think they are Artsy enough to be Art. Where is the angst? Where is the pain and suffering?
Yep, definitely no angst. I don’t do angst.
Pain and suffering? Well, I ain’t inflicted any on him recently but never fear, plots are brewing!
Heh heh
aw don’t shatter the illusions of opur buddign artist like that, you could let him down gently, anyhow, art is a very personal thing, just take a look at nearly any art galery and you will see so many different forms of ‘art’ on display, much of which you wont like, much nof which I wouldnt like, but I bet there are things I would like and you wouldn’t and vice versa!
So, there is room for Mikeys kind of art, as for me positively purring Mike, do you think I am a cat? no I was just beaming from ear to ear that someone has acknowledged what I always said, if you want to earn real money just get over your art issue and call it what sells it, art!
But then it sounds like you are half way to saying that you have soem plans along those lines, do you? Come on there is something your half hinting at, spill the beans buddy…
He’s just afraid to spill the beans and forever cement himself with the description of “Artist”.
Oh, that’s all a thing of the past. Clearly you haven’t read about Evopics.
