Sod’s Law being what it is, no sooner had I completed my last blogpost about the glitch currently affecting Flickr than hey presto!… everything’s back to normal again. So in the spirit of the season I’ll forgive Flickr this time.

Have to try that next time there’s a Flickr glitch.

And whaddya know… all those thousands of super-duper 100% perfect pics I was waiting to upload? Well, as predicted they suddenly appear to have completely vanished into thin air. What a surprise!

Instead I’ve uploaded a smallish batch (for me at least) of relatively average allsorts.

First there’s the shot of some random Christmas tree caught wandering around the town centre (above). Then there’s a couple of yet another shop in the town closing down:

A couple of shots of the town bridge at night:

(Still having issues with those blue floodlights. They look fine on the LCD, and in Lightroom, but soon as they’re uploaded to Flickr, wham! The blue just seems to engulf everything else. Consequently I’ve tinkered a fair bit in terms of saturation, hue and luminance before uploading these. Still not quite right, but getting there. Not entirely certain though that tweaking photos so they look reasonable on Flickr is quite the right approach. But what the hell.)

And Bedford’s Swan Hotel formed the subject of the last few shots, with which I’m quite pleased:

Oh, and those “new features” I mentioned having seen on the unformatted photostream page? They’re not! Apparently its a couple of things that don’t appear when the page is formatted correctly. Sneaky eh? Ho hum.
