All that salty air….makes me think it might etch the glass on lenses and you’re certainly correct about checking the metal bits of one’s camera.

Now that’s quite an interesting question. Providing you don’t drop it in the sea it’d probably be ok, but any metal parts may need watching.

I’ve often wondered how well camera kit reacts (over the long-term of course) with salty sea air. Regardless, I look very forward to (finally) getting around to checking these out Mr. Tourist.

Its quite amazing really. Spent most of the first 40 or so years of my life within virtually a stone’s throw of the sea and never really noticed it.
But since I’ve been away from it, its one of the things I miss most of all. Bizarre.
