Having returned from my sortie up at Ravensden (see previous post) I ended up (predictably) in my usual haunt, The Bear Pub in Bedford.
Waited for my mate to finish his stint behind the bar, then we had an hour or so to kill whilst waiting for his girlfriend to also finish work.
So, on the spur of the moment and prompted by the nice weather, we decided to spend the time doing something we’d been promising ourselves for ages… shoot some pics of St Peter’s Church, just across the road.
I have to admit, all these artsy photog types who go on about early morning and late afternoon light being the best for photographs have got a point. This latest batch seem far better to me, imo, than the bunch I shot at Ravensden in the glare of the midday light (or thereabouts) which basically were quite crap.
But then again, what the hell would I know? I’m just a bumbling fool let loose with a bit of kit I still can’t use properly! (Just how I like it in fact.)
This current batch (of the church) are 25 in number and again aren’t in their own set, but one I created a while ago named “Bedfordshire Churches“.
So if you wanna see them all (go on, I dare you) just click on one of the thumbnails and then browse at your leisure. Enjoy!
(Btw, if Bedford could be said to have a “mother church” then its certainly St Paul’s in the Market Square – pics of which also in the “Bedfordshire Churches” set – but St Peter’s ranks a pretty close second.)

I like your photos a lot… Nice architecture and perspective.
Hey, thanks for that
What they said!
