For me the sky and the constantly changing shapes of the clouds are endlessly fascinating and inspiring. Always beautiful, and often awesome, sometimes I find it impossible to resist the temptation to try to capture the grandeur of the magnificent spectacle displayed before me.

“Polarising”? “Polarizing”? One people separated by a common language.
The photos are beautiful. One can almost smell spring in the air. However, this is rather odd from my perspective. I have long suspected that in England it rains 360 out of 365 days. And yet you have posted picture after lovely picture of sunny or cloudy days. We just got snowed upon again last night.
While I love (and I mean LOVE) cold weather, I’m envying you at this moment for the cooperative photography weather you are experiencing.
Ah… “ise” or “ize”. Used to use the latter all the time way back until I read in a dictionary somewhere that it is the Americanised (ized!) version, so then started training myself to use “ise”. However, either is correct and I have made a serious effort with my online stuff to use the more prevalent “ize”… though I keep slipping!
We do get rain over here (!) but with nowhere near that frequency (Ireland’s the place for that apparently… or so I’ve been led to believe). In fact, I’ve been itching to do loads of pics of rain-soaked streets and people rushing places with umbrellas etc but on the occasions its rained I’ve either not been in the mood, asleep, working, or otherwise occupied such as I haven’t been able to snap any pics.
But as regards cold weather, you’re welcome to it. I absolutely detest the cold. So its quite bizarre that all too often I find myself out in it getting fingers frozen to the bone while I’m trying to fire off some shots!
Well all I know is that it is raining in what seems to be nine out of every ten football matches I watch on the telly. I usually make some sort of remark when the pitch is dry and the sun is out because it seems so unusual.
And here I am, a Stateside Yank, trying to convert my spelling of words to the traditional British manner. There are days I wish my forefathers had NOT bothered to dump English tea into Boston harbor.
