Oh yes, please do. Of course, and now that I've had more time to think about it, I'm considering that I may have to look at.....oh.....hold it.....never mind. I was going to say I need a tripod that works for both video and photography, but if I buy a separate camera tripod I can then use my current SuckPak for just video, even though it isn't the smoothest at panning. But considering how much less video I do....

Haven't used it for anything at all yet! Its not the sort of kit I'm gonna be carrying around with me on the offchance, and at the mo' I've got no sessions planned where it'd be needed - though that could change at any moment.

However, the stated load capacity is 15lb and I have no doubt that it'll more than hold its own up to that limit, and probably with a bit of leeway as well. Titanium, aside from being (as far as I know) one of the strongest weight-for-weight metals around also isn't really inclined to flex very much at all (at least, not in my experience of it). So what we'd be left with is a) the sectional structure of the legs themselves, and b) the head assembly and particularly where its joined to the legs.

The head assembly itself is, well, quite awesome, and the way the legs are connected to it appears to be ultra secure. So if there's gonna be a problem anywhere its in the nature of the leg construction, and that would impact more upon the fully extended tripod rather than when low down with legs spread widely (hmm... unfortunate phrasing that; conjures up all sorts of unmentionable images in my mind!)

I may be able to rig up some sort of 15lb test weight and mess around with it to see how the tripod performs. If so I'll post results as and when.

Have you worked with your Slik using a heavy lens and flash unit attached to your Canon? If so, do you notice any flexing in the tripod, especially when it's set closer to the ground (i.e. legs spread widely)?
